do you need help paying rent or mortgage

in response to A Christmas Wish...   Some words of comfort and wisdom...I know times have been tough for many people around the world. I know that many times, a great deal of our problems stem from a lack of money or steady income. I encourage you to continue to work
hard to make ends meet and to do all you can to help your family and friends. But please remember, money isn't everything. You can't put a price on happiness, love, fam...ily and friends. So even when times are hard, try to remember and be thankful for everything you already have. No matter how difficult things are today, they will get better and you will find solutions to your problems if you maintain a positive outlook and share that positive attitude with others. xoxo

do you need help paying rent or mortgage

I am a married mother of two boys 4 & 7..and have taken on my sister and brother in law living with me. I work in travel business in Myrtle Beach and as you probably already know....the winter travel business dies down to pretty much nothing. I am waiting on a bonus check to pay my rent and electric that are both dangerously close to game over.....it can take up to 6 weeks for the bonus check to arrive. I have been notified by my landlord that if I do not have $500 by this friday she will begin the eviction process. Shut off for electricity probably next week its at a whopping $489 My husband works one maybe two days a week as a server....not much money there and he is collecting unemployment. My sisters husband has a broken rib and will be out of work for awhile.....collecting workmans comp. We have combined families in one household to try our best to come together during these hard times. My brother in law has type 1 diabetis...his medicine is very expensive. Please grant our Holiday wish to not get evicted for Christmas! Even if we cannot afford gifts for my children or each other....granting us this Holiday wish will give all of us a very Merry Christmas having a roof over our heads. We do have food stamps so at least we can have an amazing Christmas dinner all together. If your not busy.....you can join us! Thanks for listening to my situation. Merry Christmas to you! We can pay you back with our tax returns in February or pay it forward to someone looking for help on this website.

P.S. We have already contacted Helping Hands, C.A.P., Salvation Army & L.I. H.E.A.P. in this area. They are all out of helping funds.
